A truly exceptional home, wonderful responsive hosts & peaceful, upscale location near Balboa Park.

We were staying with family for a long weekend & Jerald's home was the perfect spot to come home to after days exploring the city. It is beautifully designed, very well appointed & comfortable, we enjoyed lounging both inside & out plus the beds are super cozy! Jere & Michael were a delight to communicate with & they provided us with wonderful restaurant recommendations.

This was such a lovely place to stay! My fiance and I loved the location, walking distance to coffee shops, thrift stores Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. And so close to Balboa Park. We definitely want to come back!

Stayed with kids. We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean, cozy, and had a bright, open, and relaxing feel. Everything was easy and comfortable, and we felt very welcome. Jere's place was fantastic! Michael the co-host was very helpful and responsive. He very happily accommodate our requests. The house and linens were clean. Kitchen & bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The location of the house is also great. Close to most things and in a very safe area. The community around had a great vibe. I stayed there with my husband, 2yr old toddler, my parents and my dog. The house accommodated us all well and we were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Jere’s home was perfect! The house is stunning and so lovely and comfortable. Jerald also provided some special treats for our pup, Lola, and for her humans. Our week on Cypress was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the thoughtful design, quality furnishings and premium touches throughout the home. Mike and Jere (our hosts) left us a wonderfully stocked Peet’s coffee bar and a beautiful welcome snack tray to get us started - details that made our stay feel very special.

The location is pretty incredible in the middle of Hillcrest—quiet, tree-lined street but just minutes from everything. We walked to Balboa Park trails twice and found the most charming neighborhood coffee shops and restaurants thanks to our hosts’ recommendations. Mike and Jere were always just a text away with local tips that made us feel like insiders. Though we did not cook much, the kitchen is well equipped. There is also a lovely back garden area with seating and lights. One week wasn't enough to fully experience everything the neighborhood has to offer.

We're already planning a longer stay next year!

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful Hillcrest home! The house itself is exactly as described: it has historic charm, while also being modern, with thoughtful and higher-end touches. To be honest, most Airbnbs do not have the level of quality we enjoyed here. Each day we relaxed in the lovely backyard while sipping coffee from the well-stocked coffee bar.

The beds are very comfortable. The location of the home was perfect. Our hosts Jere and Mike came through on recommendations for delicious restaurants whenever we asked (while we were there we had Italian, Thai, Mexican, and a fantastic brunch from nearby locations). We got lucky to be there on a day when the Hillcrest Farmer's Market was taking place, and that was fun as well! We spent our days in Balboa Park- we enjoyed going to the playgrounds, San Diego Zoo, and the Fleet Science Center with our 2-year-old.

We would definitely love to stay here again during our next trip to San Diego!
